Alfred Akinbo ADEGOKE is a Professor of Counselling, Department of Counsellor Education, University of Ilorin. He specializes in Developmental Counselling with emphasis on Adolescent and Youth Development. He joined the services of the University of Ilorin in 1986 and became a full Professor in 2002. He served as Head of Department (1998 – 2005), Dean Education (2014 – 2016, Director University of Ilorin Consultancy Centre (2019 – 2022), Chairman Unilorin Tertiary Institution Mental Health Care Project (TIM-Care) 2019 – 2023. He served as consultant to a number of National and International organizations including the ECOWAS Commission, UNFPA. He developed the Youth Policy and Action Plan for ECOWAS (2005-2008).  He led in the review of the National Youth Policy and Implementation Strategy in 2007, and 2019. In 2012, Professor Adegoke led in developing the National Youth Policy and Action Plan for the Republic of Liberia. He is widely published in local and international Journals.
