Dr. Mariam Bukola Alwajud-Adewusi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Her areas of specialization include Marital Counselling and School Counselling, with a strong academic and professional background in education and counselling.

She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Guidance and Counselling from the University of Ilorin in 2019. Prior to that, she obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Ibadan in 2008, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Ilorin in 2003. In addition, she holds a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) from the University of Ibadan, also awarded in 2008.

Dr. Alwajud-Adewusi teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has successfully supervised several theses and research projects. She has served as a Level Adviser in her department and is currently the Sandwich Programme Coordinator at the Institute of Education, University of Ilorin.

In addition to her academic responsibilities, she is actively involved in university administration. She serves as a member of several faculty committees, including the Dress Code Committee, the Certificate Screening Committee, and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Committee in the Faculty of Education.

She is also a committed member of several professional and learned societies, including the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), and the Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON).
