Dr. Michael AJOKPANIOVO is a Lecturer at the Department of Educational Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin. He graduated from the University of Ilorin with a second class honours (upper division) in Guidance and Counselling in 2005. He earned his masters and doctorate degrees in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Ilorin in 2011 and 2019 respectively. He started his career as a Lecturer II in the Department of Counsellor Education (now Department of Educational Guidance and Counselling), University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria in 2019. He moved up to the status of Lecturer I in 2022. He has flair for teaching, organising practicum activities, community service and doing research. He is currently the Departmental Representative in the Webring Committee, Level Adviser for 200 level students of Educational Guidance and Counselling. He is presently the Vice Chairman of Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter. His research interest is in School and Mental Health Counselling.
