Prof. Irene Abiodun DUROSARO is a professor at the Department of Educational Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin. She was the Head of Department between 2009 and 2011, Director, Centre for Supportive Services for the Deaf between 2014 and 2017, Director, Unilorin Counselling and Human Development Centre 2017 to 2020. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (CIPDM). She is currently a member of the Association of Professional Counsellors’ in Nigeria (APROCON), Member, Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), Member, Collaboration of Education Faculties in West Africa (CEFWA), Member, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). Member, American Society for Disability Studies, Member, European Society for Theology and Disability etc. She is currently supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate projects. She has published many articles in reputable journals locally, nationally and internationally. She has attended many learned conferences both within and outside Nigeria. Her research interest is in the area of School Based Counselling, Gender Advocacy and Working With People Living With Disabilities She is an External Examiner to Universities both within and outside Nigeria. She is also a member of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation Panel. She is happily married with children.
